The basil is in full flush, and we’ll have plenty of it this week at the Pittsboro Farmers Market on Thursday 5/8 from 3-6pm, and on Saturday 5/10, 8am-12pm at the Wake Forest Farmers Market. Genovese Basil, Rosie Basil, Lemon Basil, Lime Basil and Sweet Thai Basil are all available, and of course we have the other favorites including perennials like Oregano and Thyme. Hope to see you out at the markets!
Deerhoof Gardens is a small mushroom and herb garden farm in Pittsboro, NC. Our mission is to nurture life in all its forms, and share it with our community.
Deerhoof Gardens sells live herbs and gourmet mushrooms (and occasionally other produce such as figs, soil sprouts and fresh eggs) at several farmers markets in the Triangle area:
- Saturdays: Chatham Mills Farmer’s Market
- Occasional Saturdays: Wake Forest Farmer’s Market
- Thursdays: Pittsboro Farmers Market
- Occasional Thursdays: Siler City Growers & Makers Market
